Mydko A. Peculiarities of personal determination of experience of hopelessness.

The subject of the research is the peculiarities of personal determination of the experience of hopelessness in normative persons and those who have committed suicide attempts. Research methods. The following methods were used to solve the tasks: theoretical and methodological analysis of the available literature; surveys, questionnaires and testing of subjects; mathematical and statistical methods of data processing. The scientific novelty of the obtained results of the dissertation research is that for the first time the phenomenon of hopelessness in the context of personal phenomenology is considered as a marker of the suicidal process; in general, the prediction of severe suicide attempts by personal variables; the moderative influence of hopelessness on the expression of the desire to die is proved; revealed systemic interaction of predisposing factors to suicidal behavior, in particular: temperamental and personal characteristics of the individual, feelings of hopelessness, the level of accumulated stress, the risk of severe suicide attempt; a model of the suicidal process is built, which shows the role and meaning of the phenomenon of hopelessness in the escalation of suicidal tendencies; the causal effect of hopelessness on the severity of suicidal behavior and the severity of the desire to die has been proven; proposed structural models that describe the impact of hopelessness on the interaction of stress, as well as mechanisms of emotional regulation and suicidal behavior in suicides; in suicides; regressive mechanisms of influence of the phenomenon of hopelessness on the prediction of suicide risk by personal characteristics of suicides; received further development: the idea of ​​the connection between the experience of hopelessness with the motivational aspects of suicidal behavior; system of concepts "hopelessness", "suicide", "personal determination", "adaptability of the individual". The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the concretization of ideas about the connections of the phenomenon of helplessness with the factor-analytical structure of the personality and the influence of these connections on suicidal behavior; in the development of methods for assessing suicide risk, taking into account gender differences and personal characteristics of the suicide.
