Essay

The thesis is devoted to the analysis of anti-colonial resistance in the national literature of XVIII – the first half of ХІХ centuries. The work is based on the historical-literary and receptive approaches and covers the issues of genesis, themes, issues and image creation of anti-colonial national literature of XVIII – the first half of XIX centuries, formed on the territory of sub-imperial Ukraine. It has been investigated that the folklore heritage, which was formed inseparably from the historical process on our land, had a direct influence on the themes, issues, ideological content and image system of prose, drama and poetry of XVIII – the first half of XIX century, their artistic and documentary content. It is determined that the means of reflecting the anti-colonial ideas of our people in the national literature of XVIII – the first half of XIX centuries were baroque-classicism-еnlightenment-romanticism images of historical figures and fictional characters of Cossacks and Ukrainian traitors.
