Essay

The selection value of winter triticale collection samples (114 varieties) was determined for the first time in the soil and climatic conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine according to the main characteristics of productivity in the system of full diallel crosses and promising selection lines for selection were identified. Winter triticale samples with high level of stability and average values of plasticity were identified from the analysis of the main characteristics of productivity (2015–2017) for further use in breeding for the adaptability of a particular trait. Correlation coefficients were defined between the main characteristics of productivity (productive tillering, plant height, spike length, grain number per spike, grain weight per spike, grain weight per plant, 1000 kernel weight, and yielding capacity). According to the results of hybridological analysis (2016–2017) of hybrids (F1 and F2), it was found that the inheritance of the main features of grain productivity is quite complex, which primarily depends on the genotype of the sample and to some extent on weather conditions. Promising selection numbers based on the results of selection in the best hybrid populations with high productivity (7.9–8.3 t/ha) and protein content (14.0–15.1 %): Polovetske / Amos, Amos / Dubrava, Amos / Pawo, Dubrava / Polovetske.
