The dissertation analyzes the normative principles of training bachelors in computer science in the British education system against the background of its reform in the context of the Bologna process, it highlights the features of advanced training of computer science specialists in British higher education institutions. The approaches to professional training of computer science specialists in the system of higher education in Great Britain are covered, the structure and content of curricula for bachelors in computer science in six British universities are presented as well as forms and methods of their education and the requirements for information competence of school graduates who wish to obtain a bachelor’s degree in computer science. A comparative analysis of the content of professional training of bachelors in computer science in the UK and Ukraine has been performed, a comparison of methods of teaching bachelors in computer science in the British and domestic education system has been produced. The analysis showed a high level of autonomy of British educational institutions in terms of shaping the content of bachelor's degree in computer science. As there are no uniform state standards for the training of these specialists, higher education institutions determine the list of disciplines to study in the proposed educational programs independently. In so doing they take into account regional needs and wishes of potential employers.
