Korolyov M. Comprehensive assessment and ways to improve the quality of pharmaceutical care for an unevenly distributed population (on the example of the Odesa region)

A generalizing knowledge about the quality of pharmaceutical care (PC) has been formed and nine main characteristics have been identified. Conceptual modeling of the relationship between quality and terminostructural elements of PC and components of patient’s logistic service has been carried out. 15 main factors that may affect the availability of PC in terms of opioid analgesics (OA) for palliative patients in Ukraine have been grouped into five groups as well as the problems of availability of PC in terms of adequate analgesia and the development of domestic regulations for the circulation of OA over the past 20 years have been considered. In 2019-2021, a sharp decrease of a number of pharmacies licensed to use drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors (from 2.0 to 0.68% of the total number of pharmacies) was shown. It has been noted that the Strategy of the State Drug Policy for the period up to 2020 in terms of PC accessibility to palliative patients through pharmacies and proper pricing of OA requires further prolongation.
