Zhadlun M. Linguistic Means of the Author's Representation of the Element "Water" in the Works of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva

The object of study is the poems by A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva that contain linguistic representations of the concept of "water". The purpose of the study consists in describing the language means of the author's realization of the concept of "water" in the poetry of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva. Achieving this purpose implies solving the following tasks: to characterize the theoretical aspects of the analysis of the linguocultural concept; to provide a brief description of the idea of water in the Russian language picture of the world, in particular in paremias; to describe the structure of the concept of "water" in the poetry of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva, analyzing the verbal expression of its conceptual, figurative and axiological components; to define common and different features in the representation of the water element in the poetry of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva; to determine the place of this concept in the author's picture of the world of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva. The work used both general scientific methods, including descriptive, quantitative, observation method, analysis, synthesis, and linguistic, namely: linguocultural analysis, contextual analysis, elements of the comparative method. Theoretical value of the work lays in the fact that the study is a contribution to the theory of linguocultural concept. Analysis of the water as a cultural constant in the literary text complements the idea of water, which is recorded in the linguistic picture of the world of the Russian people, in the minds of Russians. The obtained results augment the scientific achievements in the field of studying the conceptospheres of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva and make it possible to correlate the individual-authorial interpretation of the concept of "water" with its national-linguistic interpretation. The proposed and approbated method of analysis of the linguistic and cultural concept can be of service in the study of other concepts. Practical value of the thesis research is determined by the fact that its factual material and results can be used in the process of preparation and teaching in high school lecture courses on "Lexicology of Modern Russian", "Stylistics of Modern Russian", "Linguoculturology", "Linguistic text analysis", in the process of study of idiosyncrasies of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva, as well as will be useful when compiling a dictionary of concepts of poetic language of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva. Scientific novelty of the thesis research is presented in the fact that for the first time a comprehensive description of the concept of "water" in a comparative aspect in the poetry of A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva in terms of linguoculturology was made; conceptual, figurative and axiological characteristics of this concept were revealed; the significance and place of the concept of "water" were determined, as well as the common and different in its presentation in the individual author's pictures of the world A. Akhmatova and M. Tsvetaeva.
