Prykhodko D. Use of special knowledge in investigation of misappropriation, embezzlement, conversion, or property by malversation.

The thesis examines at the monographic level the theoretical foundations of the use of specialised knowledge in the investigation of misappropriation, embezzlement or seizure of property through abuse of office and their practical significance at the pre-trial investigation stage. The author analyses Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and identifies the problematic issues arising at the pre-trial investigation stage. Based on a thorough analysis of empirical material and scientific achievements of scientists, the author examines certain structural elements of criminalistic characteristics, including the methods of committing criminal offences and the trace pattern. The author clarifies the conceptual categories of specialised knowledge and identifies their most significant forms of use in criminal proceedings of this category. The author identifies the peculiarities of involvement of specialists of the State financial control bodies before the pre-trial investigation and after entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations.
