Rekkha R. The development of mechanisms and procedures of protection of women's rights within the frames of international organisations.

The dissertation is devoted to the research of the mechanisms and procedures of protection of women's rights and freedoms created within the frames of the international institutional system. It contains the analysis of the universal mechanisms and procedures operating in the UN system as well as mechanisms and procedures which are applied by Council of Europe, League of Arab States, Organisation of African Unity, Organisation of American States. Classification of international organs which apply mechanisms and procedures of protection of women's rights is based on the functional and conventional Criteria. The further development of existing international mechanisms and procedures in the field of protection of women's rights and freedoms is observed. These mechanisms contain the elements of supranational character that widen the responsibility of organs of the UN system and regional organisation for the realisation for the realisation of these rights and freedom.
