Essay

Blood, liver of rats and rabbits; blood, thyroid of human. It is to ascertain the effect of thyroid hormones' excess and deficit on lipid peroxidation, and to define accuratly the possibility of correction of lipid peroxidation level by the certain compounds, that possess antioxidant properties, under conditions of different thyroid status. Physiological, biochemical, biophysical, radioimmunological methods of analysis have been used. It's shown, that both thyroid hormones' excess and deficit lead to an activation of lipid peroxidation processes, which goes along with unidentical changes in antioxidant system. It's determined, that the prooxidant effect of nitrocompounds is amplified in case of the thyroid status modification to either side. It's proved, that prescription into the complex thyroid diseases therapy of pineal hormones preparates (melatonin, epithalamin), polivitamin undevit, that possess antioxidant properties, is expedient. The sphere of application - endocrinology, pathophysiology.
