Essay

Fusarium oxysporum strains isolated from soil and grain cultures were investigated. Their adaptive possibilities were determinated using phenotypic approach and methods of variational statistics. Ability of the investigated strains to adapt to wide range of carbon source concentrations and possibility to the fast transition from oligo- to saprotrophy and parasitism were established for the first time. Data on ability of each investigated strain to combine signs of r- and K-strategists were obtained.
