The dissertation is devoted to the studies of interstate conflicts in sub-Saharan Africa. the reasons for the conflicts formation has been analysed as well as have been defiened the types of political conflicts. The results of colonization are surveyed in the dissertation and some hidden factors of formation of international conflicts are disclosed. Also the analysis of the activities of the Organization of African Unity ispresented as well as the principles of creating the mecanisms of its cooperation with the United Nations to settle interstate conflicts in sub-Saharan Africa.
