Winter bread wheat. Creating of winter wheat breeding material of steppe ecotype for development of varieties adapted to the Crimea environment and able to the form high and stable yield. Field, laboratorial. For the first time winter wheat varieties of various geographical origin were studied under the Crimea environment. A variety model was developed for the Crimea environment. There have been developed the selection principles aimed at drought resistance and productivity increase. There have been developed new wheat breeding lines - genetic sources of valuable traits which are proposed for creating new varieties.
