The study is devoted to the research of the Theodosia rural neighbourhood since the early V-th century B.C. when the first sites have been started till the late II-nd century B.C. when they came to the full stop. In the length of the study the borders of the ancient Theodosia neighbourhood were indicated as well as the typology and chronology of the monuments of that period in the South-East Crimea. On the basis of the archaeological, written, numismatic and epigraphic sources the material culture of the population, its economic and spiritual life and ethnic composition were described. It was determined that the material culture of the sites in most cases was similar to the barbarian. The basis of the economic life was agriculture and the wheat was cultivated generally. The population of the sites was mixed and consisted of the natives, the Scythians and the Greeks. Since the IV-th century B.C. the population becomes absolutely scythian. The religious beliefs were combined including the Greeks and barb arians ones and the secret rites were dedicated to the fertile cult, fire and the hearth. Received materials let to offer the new way of the reconstruction of the ancient Theodosia rural neighbourhood in the V-th — II-nd centuries B.C.
