Mokhamad K. Baalbek - Archaeological Monument of Lebonon

The dissertation is devoted to the summarized characteristic of the ancient Lebanon city - Baalbek. The time of its emergence in the work dates from late III rd and early II nd millennium B.C. From the very beginning of the existence Baalbek a status of Phenician and religions centre. The facts confirming continuity of the development of the city before Middle Ages are given. During the long period of time monoethnic of its dwellers remained. It was established that Baalbek was in full flourish during Roman Empire. Deep ocal traditions and influences of foreign cultures connected with romanization, christianization and islamization (moslemization) in the corresponding periods are found in the material and spiritual cultures.
