Food industry in a region. To ground the trends of encreasing the effectiveness of food industry for the market conditions. Methods: system analysys. The methodology and conceptional issues due to effective development of food industry are grounded. Practical results: the base for effective function of food industry and improvement of mechanizm of management is created. Introduced in the Council for Studying Ukrainian Productive Forces of the National Academy of Sciences. Sphere of use: regional programs of agro-industrial complex development.
