Essay

Dissertation is devoted to analysis of practical activity of the League of the Arab States and the United Nations on regulating the Lebanese crisis in the second half 1975 until the Et-Taif agreements were signed in 1989, which made ground to put the civil war to an end and made peace in Lebanon. The internal and external factors of emergence of the Lebanese crisis were descried. Shown are forms and realization methods of peacemaking activities of the League of Arab States and the United Nations, the Lebanese crisis was directed on uniting suppression of civil war in Lebanon and achievement of an intra-Lebanese settlement. Major objective and subjective factors that facilitated or interfered with this, have been elucidated. Highlighted has been the role which these institutions played in achieving this goal.
