Essay

The work is devoted to the adaptation of soil-protecting crop pro-duction technologies based on minimum tillage to the meadow-chernozemic soil conditions. The objective of research was to study the effects of soil-protecting technologies of crop production on the biologi-cal factors of soil fertility in meadow chernozem, its pool of nitrogen compounds and their relationships with yields of sugar beets and winter wheat. Field survey and laboratory tests were carrid out using standard methods. Investigated biological processes pour light on pedogenesis direction under crop rotations with minimum tillage and make it possi-ble to give theoretical grounds to soil-protecting technologies of crop production. A necessity is proven to apply minimum tillage while growing sugar beets and winter wheat on meadow chernozems. The investigated technologies were incorporated into practice on the farm and yield increases averaged 23%. Agriculture.
