The author of the thesis has presented materials of experimental studies of teen-agers' personal reflexion, extended theoretical and methodical ideas about peculiarities of the development and the essence of this phenomenon and worked out a complex of methods for its diagnostics. If has been revealed that the intrinsic nature of this phenomenon is connected vith the apprai- sal and reappraisal of personal contents (different images of "the I" in the past, present ant future. If has been determined that there are various kinds of personal ref- lexion: retrospective, situational, perspective. The crite- ria and levels of the development of the teen-agers' self- reflexion and its kinds have been determined. The re- search has proved the efficiensy of the elaborate system of teaching and educational measures including a series of pursuits (works, playing imitations, improvisations, projections) and psychological techniques, exercises and methods for self-development and self-education of the teen-agers' personal reflexion while perceiving classical and popular music.
