The dissertation is devoted to a topical problem which is viewed by the author in terms of the nature, specific features and evolution of the LAS attitude towards the Palestinian conflict. The author outlines the main directions of LAS activities on the settlement of the conflict which are determined by the growing influence of Palestinian factor on the activity and policy of the League of Arab States. The purpose of the present paper is to analyse the practical activity of LAS on resolving the Palestinian problem in 80-s and the first half of the 90-s, as well as forms and methods of itsimplementing into peacemaking activities
