The object of research: 1932 case histories of patients with a benign prostatic hyperplasia, 132 patients, whom was carried out the retropubic prostatectomy with manual or apparatus vesico-urethral anastomosis. The purpose and methods of research: by usage of apparatus for overlay of sutures on urethra, clinical-urodynamical, sonographical, laboratory, morphological techniques, method of main array and clinical-statistical analysis, are improved the proximate and remote results of surgical treatment of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia by modification of vesicourethral anastomosis creation in retropubic prostatectomy. Theoretical results and novelty: the developed apparatus for overlay of sutures on urethra and new method of vesicourethral anastomosis in retropubic prostatectomy, the methods of postoperative complications prophylaxis, are detected reasons of their development. Practical signification: the obtained results allow to reduce quantity of intra- and postoperative complications, to i ncrease efficiency of urination restoring, to reduce duration of hospitalization of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Subject and degree of inculcation: a new design (patent of Ukraine №12640 and C.C. of Russia №97109443) are inculcation in urology department of Donetsk Regional Clinical Territorial Medical Association, in educational and scientific process of urology and nephrology faculty of Donetsk State Medical University named by M.Gorky. Efficiency of inculcation: the frequency of postoperative complications, the expenses for treatment and the duration of hospitalization of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia are decreased. Sphere of inculcation: urological and surgical departments, faculty of a urology.
