Essay

Object of research: neurones of rat hippocampus, medial septum and cerebellum. Purpose of research: investigation of synaptic and cellular mechanisms, influencing the level of calcium concentration in cytoplasma of the neurons of central nervous system in brain slices, studying their interaction and changes in the process of ontogenesis Methods of research: electrophysiological, optical and methods of molecular biology. Results, novelty: mechanisms of calcium entry across the plasma membrane, and calcium sequestration and release by intracellular stores calcium-binding proteins depending on functional cell activity were investigated; peculiarities of these mechanisms interaction during postnatal development of neuronal networks and during the processes of information integration in these networks were revealed. Fields of application: development of drugs.
