Essay

The dissertation deals with a scientific work out of a complex sociological conception of institutionalization of private higher school. The phenomenal nature of private education has been determined by way of establishing endogenous properties and exogenous factors (political, economic, socio-cultural ones); basic concepts have been formulated. Social models of private education in different regions and modern world countries have been analyzed; leading tendencies and laws of its development have been stated. The institutional status of a private higher school in Ukraine has been established proceeding from the evaluation of its structure and infrastructure, economic basis and legal mechanism, social functions and activities principles. Peculiarities of social relationships between subject groups in non-state-owned higher schools have been shown - concerning educational, moral training, research and managerial activities. A regional model of private higher education in Slobodskaya Ukraine has been su ggested, as well as possible ways of its improvement.
