Essay

The dissertation investigates ritual semantics of Slavonic languages in the synchronic and diachronic perspectives, principles and lexical devices of nomination from onomasiological and semasiological aspects, identification of regularities in the lexico-semantic typology of nomination devices of, as well as their structural, semiotic and conceptual modelling. The research develops contrastive characteristics of the cross-ritual stereotype nomination model. Its stratification, on the one hand, is oriented towards the invariant model of family rituals, and, on the other hand, linked to such components as conceptual zones, evolutionary semiotic rows and ritual codes,- actional, agent, subject and functional. The typology of lexico-semantic fields of partiparticipation, "positive emotions" and space, as well as fields with the conceptual opposition of "visible-invisible" is revealed on the intraritual and cross-ritual levels of correlation. This typology enabled to present a word-building family of words to reconstruct isofunctional and isosemic rows of ritual names, to establish their paradigmatic and other systemic links, as well as ethnogenetic parallels, ritual isopragms, their areal typology, space and temporal localization in Slavonic cultural traditions.
