Essay

This dissertation covers the issues of analysis of design-and-technology paradigm of the intelligence development. Theoretical and methodological aspects of the core concept, structure and functions of intelligence are investigated, the newer approaches to analysis of intelligence as a psychological category are discussed. Scrutinized are cognitive components of intelligence and its metacognitive integrators. The author of the dissertation has performed analysis of reflectory, value orientation, and prognostic and transformational functions of intelligence. The meaning of design-and-technology paradigm is elucidated, as well as of the design process applied to formation of the standard model of intelligence at the early youth age. Intellectual training and its design have been were examined in terms of psychology. The author has elicited psychological and pedagogical patterns of young person's general and professional intelligence development in the context of designed intellectual training and suggested the relevant psychological techniques to be applied. The problem of assessment of intellectual training efficacy has been talked.
