Object of research: processes of market transformation in post-socialist countries. The purpose of research: the complex economical theoretical analysis of essence, attributes, kinds and factors of formation of transaction costs, their features and consequences, to which one they result in conditions of market transformation. Method of research: institutional, comparative analysis, graphic, economic-mathematical and statistical. Results, novelty: the theoretical conception about the essence and significance of transaction costs in conditions of market transformation have been expanded, the pool of concrete measures for perfecting of tools and correction of ways of the Ukrainian economics transformation, optimization of strategy, tactics and economic policy of the state have been offered.
