Butko M. Regional specifics of economic transformations in transitional economy

Dissertation presents theoretical-methodological and practical issues of formation of the qualitatively new paradigm of regional economic transformations within the period of transition toward market. The work includes comprehensive research of the scientific basis of transformations in regional structures, determines character and specifics of the regional economic transformations, examines transformation processes of the economic development of the Ukrainian regions. It also develops basis for the formation of a qualitatively new innovation-investment activities in the context of regional economic transformations; determines innovation model for the perspective regional development. The work also substantiates main avenues to improve foreign-economic activities of the regional economic systems in the period of transformation as well as proposes and determines a strategy of the perspective economic development of the socially-oriented development system and mechanism for its realization.
