The state of the problem of the development in pedagogical theory and practical work higher institutional establishments has been analyzed; the retrospectical analysis of the development the goal and the tasks of physical education from the point of civilization perspective has been justified; the main periods improving and development of national system of professional training of specialists in physical education and sports in Ukraine in ХХ century has been determined and justified; the main features of meaning, context, structure of professional training of specialists in physical education and sports in different historical periods in Ukraine in XX century has been revealed; the concept and the model of personally oriented professional training of future specialists in physical education and sports in higher institutional establishments has been developed and theoretically proved.
