Essay

The dissertation represents the data of researches onto epidemiology of diseases of eyes and its appendages (1992-2001 years), influence of medical-social factors (economical, anthropology-ecological, population-genetic and organizational) on development and tendencies of ophthalmology morbidity, primary physical inability, on activity of ophthalmology service, accessibility and quality of rendering ophthalmology help. It is researched current problems in work of ophthalmology service of Ukraine and defined ways of its reforming. On the basis of received data from research it is worked out qualitatively new organizational system of rendering of the ophthalmologic help to the population of Ukraine - integrate - differential model; it is scientifically substantiated resource maintenance (financial, material-technical and personnel), created standards of maintenance accessibility of medical help for ophthalmology patients in frame of offered model. It is experimentally inserted created organizational model and defined medical-social and clinical efficiency of this model. It is worked out recommendations for further improvement of accessibility and quality of rendering ophthalmology help for population, decreasing levels of diseases of eye and its appendages, the levels of the primary physical inability owing to blindness and visual impairment. For the first time it was scientific substantiated, worked out, inserted, researched efficiency of qualitatively new organizational system of rendering of the ophthalmologic help to the population of Ukraine by author. It is established high level of efficiency of inculcated integrate - differential model of organization of ophthalmologic help to the population of Ukraine.
