This thesis is dedicated to the theoretical and experimental research into the problem of preserving the servicemen’s mental health and working-out of the social and psychological basis of its preserving. It has been defined the essence and indicators of a person’s mental health and conducted the psychological analysis of the content of the provisions of the military manuals of the Armed forces of Ukraine as to their influence on the servicemen’s mental health. It has also been defined the major subjects of the influence on the servicemen’s mental health and their characteristics. It has been elaborated the social and psychological system of preserving the servicemen’s mental health in the military unit and it has been defined the main directions of improving of the process of preserving the servicemen’s psychological health.
