Essay

The dissertation considers theoretical, methodological, historical and pedagogical basics of ethical competence development to future primary school teachers. Ethical competence is viewed as a key component of teachers'professional development. The need for development of this component stems from humanization of education in Ukraine. The author developed the concept of research, conducted retrospective analysis of the development of ethical and pedagogical ideas in the history of pedagogics. The dissertation determines the notion and structure of ethical competence, conducts diagnostics of the levels of its development. The dissertation also focused on development of ethical competence at its informational, axiological and transformative stages. The author develops the model on the system of ethical competence formation in the environment of professional education. The research elaborates on the content and methodology for development of the system in professional ethics. Further to this, the author developed the syllabus of the course "Pedagogical deontology". The effectiveness of the system for ethical competence development to future primary school teachers has been proved by the positive dynamics of its implementation.
