Essay

This dissertation is the first research in the home political science of the trade unions' role, as the organizations of a special group of interests/pressure, in forming of a modern civil society, its history and features of their relations. Is given the description of the essence and of the modern conceptions of a civil society, is explained that the concept "civil society" is used in different meanings and there are its different types (varieties), from liberal to socially-oriented, which depend on the democracy's model accepted in the society. For the first time in political science is shown that the historical evolution of the civil society and trade unions put the latter in the center of the civil life as the most numeral group of the economic interest and defined their place in it taking into account new roles, which are for today, firstly, the participation of the trade unions in the presentation, realization and defence not only class and professional but also wide palette of the discrete interests, rights and freedoms of man and citizen, secondly, in new face's forming of the system of the social partnership and economic democracy, their consolidation, transformation and modernization, thirdly, the development of the trade unions as a civil-political movement. The place and role of the trade unions in the civil society, the reasons of the crises phenomena in trade-union movement, the ways of their overcoming, the prospects of the development of the trade unions are examined in the conditions of globalization and globalized civil society.
