Methodological, theoretical, and technique grounds for psycho-hygiene of upbringing and education are considered, an all-out analysis of cultural and historical development of mental health problem and of formation of pedagogical psycho-hygiene is given. Cultural and ethnic dimensions of psycho-hygiene are determined; bases of individual psycho-regulation, as well as methods of psycho-hygienic adjustment and control, are elucidated. Theoretical grounds are given for personal integrity principles, for unity of model and actual aspects of psycho-hygienic basis, underlying the process of education and upbringing, for conformity of sensory formation and personal actualisation in the ontogenesis. Theoretical significance of this research arises from development of the integral theory of pedagogical psycho-hygiene, while its practical significance is due to elaboration of methods of pedagogical psycho-hygiene, aimed at protection and improvement of mental health of students and teachers in secondary school.
