Essay

Dissertation research is the first in the Ukrainian political science complex investigation of conversion as the multilayer system phenomenon considered as three dimensions - space, time and content. Defined is conversion, functions and regularities as dependant on political and system evolution of international relations within the context of political systems. Elaborated is author's classification of conversion, defined are conversion types, models, functions and forms of conversion implementation. Outlined are its global, regional and national features. Defined are levels of dependence of historically known types of conversion on the character of international system within frames of its historical development type, structural characteristics, hierarchic peculiarities of its elements and their system cross relations, specific features of conversion implementation at the definite stage of international system evolution. Summarized is positive and negative experience of conversion within Versailles-Washington system, Yalta-Potsdam system and contemporary international systems. Given are recommendations regarding formulation and implementation of "conversion concept" in Ukraine.
