Essay

On the basis of a cases Register method (10 years long duration), data for calculation of diagnosed Parkinson's syndrom prevalence and inci-dence in the big region of the central Ukraine were obtained. The direct es-timation makes 134,11 cases on 100000 population (145,13 cases for the man's population and 124,9 cases for female). The average estimations, in view of heterogeneity of the population and influence of socio-economic and medical factors, quality and availability of medical aid, have made: 154,39±71,83 on 100000 population (173,64±101,08 for man's and 139,07±60,14 for female). Annual incidence is established at a level 12,1 cases on 100000 population. The tendency to greater desease among in-habitants of a countryside is established. The cohort researches method (372 patients) on the basis of strict criterial approach to the diagnosis es-tablishes modern nosological structure of a Parkinson's syndrome in an in-vestigated population. Idiopathic Parkinson's disease is diagnosed in 69-76 % ofcases, and 25-30 % make secondary forms of parkinsonism and re-lated neurodegenerations ("parkinsonism-plus syndrome") - a multiple-system atrophy (up to 4,5 %), progressive supranuclear palsy (up to 3 %), cortico-basal ganglionic degeneration (up to 1,5 %). Vascular forms of par-kinsonism borrow up to 3,5-4 % of all cases. Up to 10 % of cases can make diagnostically difficult forms of essential tremor and still approximately 10 % in a clinical practice can be supervision which it is expedient to desig-nate the term "atypical parkinsonism" as they cannot be unequivocal or with probability are carried at the moment of the first inspection to any certain category. Features of a clinical picture and course of Parkinson's disease and most related neurodegenerations are presented. The method of mathematical modeling proves absence of real clinical forms of Parkinson's disease.
