3. The object of study - Object - system of the economic relations folded in connection with functioning of external eco- nomic sector of economy. The purpose of study - ground of theory-methodological bases inwardly contradictory unity of protectionism and liberalism as directions of foreign trade poli- cy, features of its evolution in the process of globalization of economy and elaboration on this basis of conceptual aproaches to optimization of external economic strategy in the conditions of system transformation of economy. The methods of sys- tems, logical, functional, history-economical and statistical analysis are used. A conceptually new approach as to general research of pro- tectionism and liberalism as codetermined directions of external trade policy is offered. On the basis of the world's practice a cyclical character of protectionism and liberalism in internatio- nal trade is analyzed in complex. A complex analysis of theory- methodology bases of the research process of economics globa- lization is undertaken. Internal argument of the modern tenden- cies of protectionism and liberalism is discovered. The sense and forms of neo-protectionism in economics, that is under globalization is found.
