Mel'nyk L. Scientific grounds for and development of adsorption refining and dehydration of aqueous-alcoholic solutions with the help of natural adsorbents

The Thesis is devoted to the solution of the problem of current importance concerning the creating of modern, high-performance, resource-saving technologies for refining and dehydrating aqueous-alcoholic solutions for their subsequent usage in the different fields of national economy. In this thesis the author presents the results of theoretical and experimental research of technologies for refining aqueous-alcoholic solutions with the help of natural adsorbents, which have adsorptive characteristics regarding undesirable alcoholic impurities compara-ble with those of active carbon, but which are significantly cheaper and deposits of these adsorbents are in Ukraine. Modern methods of chromatography, derivatography, pyrometry have been used to de-termine the selectivity of every examined adsorbent concerning ethyl impurities and to prove their adsorption characteristics.
