Essay

This dissertation is focused on increase in reliability and quality level of mining shovels as a result of decrease in equipment vibration loads. New directions to improve protection of vibration-sensitive equipment of the mining shovels against vibration by means of choosing equipment rational operation characteristics and installing anisotropic vibration isolators were suggested by the author. As a result - vibration loads were reduced by 3-10 and the time between equipment failures was increased by 1,5-3. The author of the dissertation has defined interactions between mine technical conditions of the mining shovel iron ore face, resonance vibrations within shovel basic units and vibration loads applied to the equipment and worked out methods to calculate parameters to protect equipment against vibration. Theoretical results of this dissertation were actually used in the both mining and engineering industry by creating, updating and wide use of the shovels with highly reliable operating characteristics.
