Essay

On the basis of the analysis of different forms of determination of the teacher activity – causative, intentional, value – the thesis on the hierarchical structure of the mechanisms of the process of decision-making in the pedagogical activity is proposed. On the level of causative determination the activity of the teacher develops according to the behavior scheme. The intentional determination transforms the activity of the teacher into the functioning controlled by the process of the conscious goal-seeking. The structure of the decision-making can be described on the basis of content-sense and functional-operational components. The functional operational perspective is built up by actions, skills and traits of the teacher which determine the degree of conscious data-processing. It has been ascertained that the skill of making effective pedagogical decisions can be developed in the teachers in reflective-intentional training.
