In the thesis methodic grounds of problematic study of geography are scientifically grounded, methodic system is developed and pedagogical technology of its realization is created. It is known that only on conditions of problematic study it is possible to realize modeling of cognitive process and achievement of interconnection of problematic characteristics of principle. It is approved that problematic study is grounded on the creation of special motivation kind - problematic which requires adequate, systematic designing of didactic content on the grounds of methodic apparatus on geography. It is represented classification of problematic situations as a methodic development on all levels of scientific educational process. In research there are disclosed basic directions of typology creation of tasks on geography that are divided into geographical tasks of problematic and nonproblematic character and there are formed basic functions of problematic study that depend on peculiarities of scientific educational process. Practical basics of problematic study of geography as a methodic system are developed and enquiry of its effectiveness is made during research.
