Voronich-Semchenko N. Problem of iodine deficiency and features of activity of Central Nervous System, abilities of correction (experimental clinical research)

The dissertation is dedicated to the study of the influence of iodine deficiency on structural and morphologic state of C.N.S. Morphologic features of cerebral cortex, basal ganglia and cerebellum, metabolic disturbances, thyroid status in conditions of experimental iodine deficiency have been determined. The effectiveness of correction of revealed changes by "Iodide-100" drug and the negative influence of chlorine and fluorine on its result have been proved. Thyroid and lipid status of scholars that live in the regions of mild and moderate iodine deficiency including socially deprived children have been analyzed. The violations of mental, psychophysiological and physical development of scholars in limitation of iodine supply have been revealed and rationality and effectiveness of the usage of "Iodide-100" in this case have been reasoned. Psychophysiologic patterns of latent hypothyroidism have been found out and justified. Structural and functional concept of the changes of CNS in conditions of iodinedeprivation has been proposed.
