Essay

The doctoral thesis is devoted to the research and development of institutional regulation of international trade in services. Author investigates the basic methodological principles, institutional objectives and key factor of institutional system of regulation of trade in services. It is proved that institution and transaction costs are one of the deciding factors in the development of the modern international trade in services, which enables to examine them as basis for existence and form of display of competitive advantages in the process of international exchange by services subject to the condition economic globalization. The author empirically developed econometrical models of the volume's impact of institutions in four East European countries members of the EC and selected countries of CIS. The results of models showed that low quality levels of institutions in Ukraine is a factor in price growth in services of both domestic and foreign providers, as ineffective institutions increase the transaction costs of enterprises at the foreign markets.
