Kornienko O. Formation and development of welding engineering in Ukraine in world context (the 1870s of XIX century - the 1950-s of the XX century)

The dissertation contains historical and scientific analysis of the development of welding engineering in Ukraine in the world context with the middle of the XIX century. To carry out investigation of history of technologies the anther has created a methodology, which is based on analyzing separate distinguished feature. If was established that the main criteria of periodization of history of welding engineering. The first welding methods was originated in the old times, which was realizend with application of heating by biofuel and biomechanical energy. New highly-performance types of welding and related technologies began to appear at the end of the XIX century on the basis of discoveries of fundamental sciences, achievements of the new engineering branches and practical knowledge. Date and conditions of development of new type of welding were established. It was proved that the first method of are welding was discovered by N.N. Benardos. It was proved that E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute became the leading institution in this area in the USSR and one of the leading establishments in the world
