Ruzibaev R. The choice of surgical treatment method for gastroduodenal ulcers in the patients with high risk of osteoporosis

The results of the investigation of the structural-functional state of the osseous tissue, mineral metabolism, endocrine system in the patients with the ulcerous disease and patients operated with the organ-saving surgical methods Billroth-I and Billroth-II are analyzed in the dissertation. The degree of the osseous tissue lesions in the ulcerous patients is proved to depend on the disease duration. The efficiency of the organ-saving surgical interventions in the preservation of osseous mineral density is observed. After the surgery of the ulcerous patients in the late postoperative period, the function of the pituitary-thyroid system and genital glands is distorted especially after the application of the resection methods. In the experiment, the stomach resection according to Billroth-I and Billroth-II and selective proximate vagotomy are modeled in white rats; the disorders of the gastric and duodenal structural changes and osteomorphic indices of the osseous tissue are observed after the application of the resection methods. The application of the preparation “Calcium-D3 Nycomed” has been proved to be efficient in the correction of the osteodeficiency states. The algorithm of the choice of surgical treatment method for gastroduodenal ulcers in the patients with osteopenic syndrome has been proposed.
