Bakum Z. Theoretical and methodical basics of teaching phonetics of the Ukrainian language in gymnasium.

The conception of development of language personality whose actions are based on perfect knowledge of the Ukrainian language, knowledge of different forms of work on speech material with the orientation on future profession, on the statement that in gymnasium classes the Ukrainian language is learned simultaneously as the subject of learning and a means of study which predetermines the specificity of teaching content composition and picking proper forms of its organization is given in the dissertation. Modern approaches are defined: competential, personal orientation, communicative, ethnic and cultural, system, problem, and functional and stylistic in teaching phonetics. The principles of teaching are elucidated: the ones of general didactic (traditional and modern); the ones of linguistic didactic (the ones of general methods); specific ones: teaching phonetics in connection with orthoepy, orthography, graphics, morphology, syntax and punctuation, stylistics; correlation between sound and writing speech; taking into account peculiarities of local dialect; physical development of speech organs, the principle of analysis of sound in morpheme.
