Essay

In the thesis a careful study of the motivated place and role of myth in Russian prose has been made, proceeding from the peculiarities of writers' thinking, which developed in the transitional for Russian literature period of entry into the artistic maturity. The model of literary process in Russia of the early XIX century on the basis of the comparative analysis of preromanticism, which combined rhetorical and aesthetic types of literature, and romanticism with its grounds in the creative imagination and artist's intuition, has been proposed.
