Mykchailova R. Artistic culture in Halytsko-Volyn Rus Summary

This edition is, as a matter of fact, the first historic-theoretical research of art, culture in one of the largest territorial-political formation of the Ukrainian Middle Ages - Halytsko-Volyn Rus. The art culture of the region is considered as the system formed on the base of social and ethnocultural factors. Characteristic features of prince-boyar, military-bodyguard, cultural-religions, folk-bottom (urban and rural) - subcultures are distinguished. Connections and contacts with foreign countries which influenced cultural-artistic processes of the region are studied. Enlisting of a great number of sources, complex analysis of their figurative-subjective and composition-style bases give the possibility to find out peculiarities and high-principled content of ancient Rus art culture in Volyn and Halychyna, Southern-Western lands on the whole. The author "Combines the problem level of material interpretation with the reconstruction of cultural-artistic phenomena of the X-th - first half of XIV centuries on the territory of Halytsko-Volyn Rus, mainly in urban environment.
