The subject of the dissertation is the specificity of the forming of E. G. Craig’s, G. Fuchs’s and A. Appia’s aesthetic-&-artistic theater principles within the context of the West European culture evolution process of the later 19th – early 20th centuries. In the process of the philosophic and aesthetic thoughts and links between art forms analysis in the thesis the aesthetic and artistic principles of the reformers of the West European theatre culture are discovered and substantiated, the thematic priorities of their artistic creativity are defined, their practical experience and theoretical heritage are comprehended.
