The author has developed a special methodology of professional medical discourse, proposed classification of communication strategies and tactics to differentiate typical communication models in doctor-patient and doctor-doctor relations. The author has also implemented a new approach to select and qualify discourse institutional types which are discrete ones, used for communication between doctor and patient, and non-discrete ones, applied for professional communication between doctor and his colleagues. He described communicative and grammatical peculiarities of doctor's speaking in typical situations of professional communication.
