Essay

The research covers the history of the population of Eastern Carpathians in the late Roman period. It is determined that the territories of Pre-Carpathians and Transcarpathians in the late Roman period were absolutely separated and different cultural regions. According to archeological materials a stable development of the population who created the Carpathian barrows culture and probably belonged to Germany tribe of the taifales is fixed at the territory of Pre-Carpathians. On the territory of Transcarpathians constant flow of new population in the process of pulsing character migrations created motley ethnic-cultural situation. It is reflected in the existence of different types of burial sites.
