Pinchuk Y. The Modernization of Ukrainian Education System as Theoretical-Philosophical and Practical Problem

The thesis is dedicated to defining philosophical foundations for realizing modernization of Ukrainian education system in the context of today's global problems. The author develops a definition of education modernization as a special form of transforming the education system in accordance with social interests, as a formation of creative human personality able to produce new knowledge. It is shown that modernization effectiveness is defined by the development of modernization culture based on uniting new technologies with education traditions, particularly those of Ukraine. As the thesis defines, modernization requires proliferation of subjects for the education politics, getting rid of the state monopoly over it. Processes of democratization and development of open education also correlate to global world tendencies, providing for Ukraine's taking its due place in the processes of world integration.
